What I Do
Dog photography? Who knew?
I’m sure for a lots of dog mums and dads its something that you never knew you needed or that there were photographers who specialise in this field. Having professionally taken photos of our Dogs is a growing trend amongst dog owners here in the UK
I understand how much your dog means to you, my aim is to capture that in outstanding images that you will treasure, now and forever.
I celebrate quality wall art and the amazing power of print.
Exceptional images deserve exceptional presentation
If, like all the best people, your dog is your best friend, your wing man, your trusted advisor or even your favourite child, your in the right place!
From full on action addicts to chilled out couch hoggers I’m here to capture that unique personality that makes your dog… your dog!
We are a Boxer dog family.. the very second our first dog Dylan arrived we were hooked! Sadly he’s no longer with us and we now have Bodie.. that’s him above.. he has filled our lives with love and utter craziness in equal measure and he’s the reason I love dog photography. We all have our reasons why we love our dogs and each one of us has a different story as to why they make us happy. One thing that most of us have in common is that we think of them as family and deserve to be treated as such. If you’ve ever had to share a duvet with 40kgs of Boxer dog on a cold winters night, you will know where i’m coming from.
Update.. We lost our Beautiful boy Bodie in May 23.. He’l be forever in our hearts.. We have continued to be a ‘Boxer family’ (we must be mad!). Its now July 24 and our new addition to the family is Moose (unofficial names - Mucifer, Mooston we have a problem, MooMoo, Moochie McMoocherson.. I could go on..) The Photos I have of Bodie will be cherished forever and Im so glad I have them..
Dog Photography started for me a few years ago when I started to take Bodie with me on my camping and landscape photography trips. I’ve Shared many a night in a two man tent with him stealing my space on a windy cumbrian fell, I can assure you its not for the feint hearted! During these trips I began to take photos of Bodie in these stunning surroundings and over time I realised that I would treasure these photos a thousand times more than I would of that mountain that will still be there in a million years. Basically those photos were memories of our wonderful times together. He’s 9 at the time of writing and is starting to feel his age but he’s always available when I need him to try new things photography related.. whether he likes it or not!
We all have a camera in our pockets but we rarely capture that WOW picture that allows your best friends unique personality shine through. Snapshots are fine and great fun but they often don’t do our dogs justice. Well that’s what i’m here for..
On every session, my aim is to shoot incredible images of your furry friend in beautiful outdoor locations around the Northwest and beyond.
So let me join you on your doggy adventures to create amazing visual memories of your dog, happy and enjoying life.
I fully expect to get covered in mud, soaking wet and head to toe in slobber to get those perfect images that you will be proud to display in your home for many years to come.
If all this sounds great, don’t hesitate to get in touch by whatever means suits you to book a session or ask any questions.
I look forward to meeting you…. but more importantly.. your hairy star of the show!
Thanks for reading!
